House approves amendments to police law

CAIRO – 5 July 2017: The parliament has approved on Wednesday a bill presented by the government to amend some provisions of police law no. 109 of 1971.

The draft law is meant to empower more youth and women to join the police to carry out specific missions.

Under the new amendments, youth aged between 19 and 25 will be allowed to join the institute of assistant policemen.
