CAIRO – 5 July 2017: Foreign ministers of Egypt, KSA, UAE and Bahrain are meeting Wednesday in Cairo to announce the results of discussions which might lead to imposing new sanctions on Qatar, as the tiny Gulf state is more lenient to preserve its stubbornness towards the Arab demands.
After several states severed ties with Doha last month, Egyptian politicians and social media demanded probing Qatar internationally, accusing the Gulf country of involvement in funding terrorist groups, which launched attacks killing thousands of Egyptian armed and police forces over the past few years, since the ouster of the President Mohamed Morsi in 2013.
Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain cut diplomatic ties with the state of Qatar on June 5 on charges of supporting terrorism and extremist groups in the region. The Qatari regime is responsible for the lives of victims who have been killed by terrorist operations supported by Qatar in Egypt and other Arab countries, Egyptian Parliamentarian Mohamed Abou Hamed announced on several occasions recently.

In several successive tweets, Khalfan said: “Kind people, we are facing rulers in Qatar whose intentions are darker than coal, while others of Al-Than family has hearts purer than snow” stressing that “Qatar will stay out of Cooperation Council until God chooses a wise ruler among Al-Thani who respects the values of fraternity.” Khalfan also added, “Hamad Bin Gasem and Hamad Bin Khalifa are the biggest regional trouble makers; they ruined everything, and created political crises showing unprecedented stupidity.”
“As long as Al Jazeera; Shimon Peres’s Channel; airs from Qatar, ill intentions will always be there; Al Jazeera functions as an Israeli intelligence agency in Qatar,” Khalfan claimed.
It has to be mentioned that Egyptian social media users expressed their rejection of showing any leniency in dealing with the tiny emirate of Qatar by launching a hashtag- #Egyptian_blood_Is_Precious- condemns Qatari support for terrorist groups committing crimes inside Egypt.
The popular hashtag campaign documents the crimes and massacres undertaken by groups funded by the tiny emirate, where several Egyptians were killed and suffered from untreatable injuries. The campaign pledges to not forget the Egyptian spilled blood and sacrifices to contain the terrorism provoked by individuals sheltered in Qatar, such as the leaders of the outlawed terrorist group the Muslim Brotherhood.
Egyptian citizens participating in the campaign said they are keen to win the war against the terrorism funders in the region, also to have justice for those who sacrificed their lives in the battle against extremism.
