President Sisi directs government to develop universities nationwide

CAIRO - 15 April 2021: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed the government to develop the main road axes and the square of Abbassia district to ease the traffic densities and facilitate transportation for university students as well as citizens, said Egyptian Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Radi in a statement on Thursday.

The president also directed to provide full support to the public education system through expanding national projects nationwide, Radi added.

President Sisi also asked the government to develop  the Ain Shams University Hospitals area, within the framework of establishing the Medical City of Ain Shams University, Radi said.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghaffar,  Governor of Cairo Khaled Abdel-Aal ,  and Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, the Adviser to the President of the Republic for Urban Planning, and Dr. Mahmoud El-Matini, the President of Ain Shams University.
