CAIRO – 9 April 2021: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi sent on Friday a message of condolences to Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom to mourn the death of her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, the Presidency said.

Sisi expresses “his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the Queen and to all members of the royal family,” the Presidency added.

Prince Philip passed away at the age of 99, announced the Buckingham Palace on Friday.

“It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh,” the Palace said in a statement.

“His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. Further announcements will made in due course. The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss,” the statement read.
