Parliament approves 6 bills delegating petroleum minister for exploration deals

CAIRO – 4 July 2017: The House of Representatives on Tuesday approved six fresh bills delegating the minister of petroleum and mineral resources to sign new exploration deals.

According to the bills, the minster is allowed to sign contracts with the Egyptian Petroleum Authority and a number of companies on the right to oil exploration in the Western Desert and the Gulf of Suez.
