Where to have sohour and watch the World Cup
Compiled by Kaylan Geiger
The traditional Ramadan soap operas are getting some stiff competition during the first half of the Holy Month, as the 2014 FIFA World Cup plays its most decisive matches. The final is on July 13, airing around 2am locally, just in time for sohour. Hotels, restaurants and lounges across the country are all set for pitch fever, kitting out their cafes, gardens and even ballrooms with large screen TVs and special Ramadan menus. Many venues are broadcasting live and some will also rerun earlier matches; check with your preferred venue for schedules.
