Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has called for tackling the root causes of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by backing the path of calm and advancing efforts of settling the Palestinian cause.
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will honor later on Thursday Egyptian athletes who won medals at the 2020 Summer Paralympic games held in Tokyo in August and September.
The president attended the inauguration of medical projects in the peninsula including St. Catherin Hospital, Rowisat Medical Center and other healthcare facilities.

This came during his meeting with Egyptian Ambassador to Burundi Yasser el Atwi where they discussed means of fostering bilateral relations
The leaders included Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Mohamed Farid, heads of the army’s main branches as well as other key commanders, officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers.
This came as Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, advisor to the president on health affairs, gave a speech at the celebration on behalf of Sisi.
The world is celebrating today, March 8th, the International Women’s Day. The president was keen to extend congratulations to the Egyptian women earlier this day.
This comes one day after the president returned from a visit to Paris, during which he discussed military cooperation with French President Emmanuel Macron, along with many other aspects of cooperation.
