The law regulating the rights of the elderly in Egypt has set a punishment of imprisonment and fine to any one charged with caring for elderly person, and neglects to perform assigned duties.
The Senate is currently discussing during its plenary sessions the report prepared by its Financial and Economic Affairs Committee on the Economic and Social Development Plan for FY2022/2023 submitted by the government.
The Law regulating the Elderly Rights in Egypt has seen fruitful cooperation between legislative and executive authorities, Member of Parliament Ahmed Fathi said.
The program provides early detection services for the most common health problems at this age.
The strategy consists of four sections that encompass multiple areas of concern.
The mobile clinics will be stationed in front of post offices and pension and insurance offices in all governorates
“This undoubtedly requires more health, social and financial care,” Deputy Minister of Health Tariq Tawfiq said.
Children and teens who spend a lot of time with their grandparents may be less likely than peers who don’t to have negative and stereotypical ideas about the elderly..
