Since the start of production in 2009, the Sukari mine has produced more than 5 million ounces of gold, and today the expected life of the mine is 14 years.
The company, which operates the only commercially producing gold mine in Egypt, said production reached 107,549 ounces during the three months ending on December 31.
"The extraction rate is 95 percent, which is one of the highest rates, and with total investments over the next ten years, more than $1 billion,” Petroleum Minister noted.
