Samir affirmed that Egypt and India share a strategic bilateral relationship that spans a long history of mutual cooperation aimed at supporting the economic and social development aspirations of both countries.
In 2020, the Ministry of International Cooperation secured a total development financing worth $457 million through multilateral and bilateral cooperation for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

“Egypt was one of the few countries that recorded during the crisis an economic growth of about 3.57 percent during 2019/2020,” Minister of Trade and Industry, Nevine Gamea, said.
Gamea added Tuesday that 1.24 million micro-projects were funded during that period, providing more than 1.613 million job opportunities.
Gamea called on Egyptian and Kazakh businessmen to carry out promising projects that contribute to serving both countries.
The decision stipulated permitting the export of quantities surplus to the needs of the local market and estimated by the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, and after the approval of the Minister of Trade and Industry.
This came during Gamea’s speech, at the activities of the "Egyptian-Zambian Business Forum".
The IDA, is the technical arm of the Ministry.
Gamea' said that facilitating the measures of these services is a basic cornerstone to create an attractive investment environment to implement the plan of the state for sustainable economic development.
In a press statement, she added that the Projects Development Executive Authority will offer loans for these projects to guarantee their operation.
The decisions come into effect as of the date of their publishing in the official gazette.
Up to 13 complexes are being finished in 12 governorates, nine of them are in Upper Egypt and set to be finished by the end of 2020.
Providing an appropriate legislative infrastructure to improve the business environment is on the top of the government's priorities, she added.
The Egyptian exports to the countries of the agreement amounted to $1.5 billion in 2019, compared to $1.4 billion in 2018.
