The Egyptian government has denied reports about an alleged rise in public transportation fares in light of the recent increase in gasoline prices.
The cabinet media center denied reports circulated on some social media pages about a hike in public bus fares during the coming period.
On Sunday, during the Christian Easter Sunday celebrations, only the ordinary dusk-to-dawn curfew will be imposed, spokesman Nader Saad said.
The Ministry of Interior launched an inspection campaign upon all public transportation terminals, especially the ones of microbuses.
