The seminar will provide an overview of the writings of the scholar Refa’a al-Tahtawy on the ancient Egyptian civilization and will review his contributions to the management and protection of Egyptian antiquities.
The symposium focuses on the importance of studying Egyptian coins as a main archaeological source.
The program of the celebration includes various artistic segments, a screening of a short film about the history of the city of Cairo, and a heritage panorama [Culturama].
