In a meeting with Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Ambroise Fayolle, Fouad discussed the national strategy for climate change, which included a number of projects such as a 10-billion-dollar project that aims at producing 10 gigawatts of renewable energy through transferring thermal power plants to renewable energy-operated ones.
The move comes within the framework of the efforts to coordinate the African stances before holding the climate summit, due in Sharm el Shiekh in November.
In his speech, Minister Shokry said that the meeting was a chance to exchange views and experience on the aspects of international climate work.
The meeting was held in Copenhagen on Thursday.

The European Union Ambassador in Cairo, Christian Berger, said, Monday that the European Union supports Egypt in hosting the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 27) in November.
The conference is attended by the representatives of relevant United Nations organizations and governmental institutions, as well as the private sector and civil society.
On March 27, 2022, Egyptian Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad launched the first national dialogue on climate change from Sharm El -Sheikh, where the conference would convene in November.
The Ambassador expressed that Hubáčková is looking forward to holding meetings with Fouad and the President-designate of the COP 27 and Foreign Minister of Egypt Sameh Shoukry.
Minister of Environment Yasmin Fouad held a meeting via-videoconferencing with representatives of the United Nations Development Programme Wednesday.
“Egypt is keen, during its presidency of the [COP 27] conference, to build on the successes of the Glasgow Climate Conference,” said Fouad in a statement issued by the Ministry.

The meeting took place in Cairo Sunday.
Minister of Environment Yasmin Fouad received Tuesday World Bank Managing Director of Development Policy and Partnership Mari Pangestu.
The move comes within the preparations to host COP 27 in Sharm El Sheikh next November.
“We are continuing joint consultations to reach the best results in implementing the conference,” said Fouad. She also listened to certain points and possible challenges that could face the participants.
The two ministers also discussed ongoing efforts to prepare for Egypt's next hosting of the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 27) due to take place in Sharm El-Sheikh on November 2022.
Egypt’s National Climate Change Strategy 2050, which has been completed and is linked to achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, aims at achieving a sustainable economy, adopting climate governance.
