CAIRO – 4 April 2020: Marsa Alam Airport will receive on Sunday the second EgyptAir’s exceptional flight coming from Washington carrying Egyptians who were stranded there due to flight suspension over the Covid-19 outbreak.

The flight suspension decision is inactive until April 15, as part of the country’s plan to combat the spread of Coronavirus.

As part of the Marsa Alam Airport’s preparations ahead of the flight’s arrival, medical teams will be receiving the passengers to conduct medical examinations.

The Hotel facilities Chamber had announced that another hotel in the tourist city of Marsa Alam had been prepared to receive stranded Egyptians in US for 14 days of quarantine to ensure they are free of the Covid-19.

EgyptAir continues to operate exceptional flights to different countries around the world to carry stranded Egyptians back home.

Egypt has suspended flight movement since 19 March and until April 15, except for cargo flights, charter flights to enable tourists’ return, ambulance flights and internal flights.
