CAIRO-5 March 2021: Al Ahly, CAF Champions League title-holders, will face Congo’s AS Vita Club on Saturday night in Cairo at Matchday 3 of the CAF Champions League group stage.

Al Ahly’s assistant coach Samy Komsan told the club’s official website that the Red Eagles are ready for the important clash.

“It is an important game for us especially after losing the last match against Simba SC in Tanzania.” Komsan told the club’s official website.

The defending champions lost 1-0 to Simba in Tanzania and they hope to bounce back against the Congolese team and take an important step towards securing a spot in the quarter-finals.

Komsan added “AS Vita Club are a strong team with a lot of great players and we analyzed them very well to be fully prepared for the contest. It will be a difficult game on both teams. Our only goal is to win tomorrow’s game; especially that it will be played at home before facing them again in Congo.”

Al Ahly come second in the group with 3 points, the same points of AS Vita Club, while Tanzania’s Simba top the group with 6 points.
