CAIRO-4 February 2021: Al Ahly will take on Al Duhail SC of Qatar on Wednesday at Education City Stadium in the first round of the FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled between 4 and 11 February in Doha.

Al Ahly represent the African continent in the competition after winning the CAF Champions League title for the 9th time, having defeated arch-rivals Zamalek in the final.

The Red Devils are participating in the FIFA Club World Cup for the sixth time in history and they are the Arab and African club with most appearances in the competition.

Al Ahly's best achievement came in 2006 when they won the bronze medal, becoming the first club from Africa to reach the podium.

On the other hand, the Qatari champions are participating in the competition as the domestic champions of the host country and they will appear in the competition for the first time.

The winner of the clash will face German giants Bayern Munich on 8 February in the semi-finals.
