CAIRO-22 January 2020: Al Ahly completed a sensational comeback to beat Arab Contractors 3-2 on Thursday night at Al Ahly stadium in the ninth week of the Egyptian Premier League.

The visitors were leading the game at the break thanks to two goals from Bassem Ali and Seifeddine Jaziri.

However, Al Ahly put on a solid performance in the second half to overturn the score and secure the three points.

Al Ahly's substitute Taher Mohamed Taher scored Al Ahly's first goal in his first clash against his former club, before another substitute, Mohamed Sherif, equalised the score 20 minutes before the final whistle.

Mohamed Magdy Afsha secured the three points for the Red Devils after a fantastic shot that found the target, ten minutes before the final whistle.

Al Ahly are back to the top of the table with 20 points from 8 matches, one point ahead of Zamalek who played seven matches and will face Aswan on Saturday.

Al Ahly will face Pyramids FC on Tuesday 26 January before heading to Qatar to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Al Ahly will participate in the competition for the sixth time in the club's history.
