CAIRO-2 January 2021: Zamalek Tunisian midfielder Ferjani Sassi will not be able to help his team when they face Enppi on Saturday night in the Egyptian League.

Zamalek head coach Jaime Pacheco announced the team’s squad for the match and he excluded Sassi from the list after suffering an injury.

“Sassi is suffering from an injury in the adductor muscle. The head coach decided to rest him and that is why he is ruled out of the match.” Zamalek’s doctor Mohamed Osama told the club’s official website.

On the other hand, Sassi posted a message on his instagram account, which says “Enough is enough”. This message worried Zamalek fans as their star did not renew his contract with the club and his negotiations with the club’s new board is not going in the best direction, according to many reports.

Zamalek’s director of football Ashraf Kasim said that the club’s board will have a meeting with Sassi in the next few days, to offer him a new contract.

Sassi’s contract with Zamalek ends in 2021 summer and he could sign for any club this winter for free.
