Sobhy-less Pyramids host Zamalek in the league

CAIRO-17 December 2020: Pyramids host Zamalek on Thursday night at 30 June Stadium in the second week of the Egyptian League.

Pyramids will face the White Knights without their new signing, Ramadan Sobhy, who was sent off in the opening match of the season against Al Ittihad of Alexandria.

Pyramids aim to bounce back as they lost the first match 2-1 after a heroic performance from the Alexandrian giants.

On the othet hand, Zamalek look to continue their strong start to the season as they won their opening game 2-0 over Arab Contractors.

Rodolfo Arruabarrena, Pyramids manager, announced the team’s starting line-up for the match, which consists of: Sherif Ekramy, Tarek Taha, Ahmed Samy, Ali Gabr, Ahmed Fathy, Mahmoud Hamada, Nabil Emad Donga, Eric Traore, Abdullah El Said, Omar Gaber and John Antwi.

The team’s new signing Ahmed Fathy appeared in the team’s starting line-up for the first time as he missed the opening match against Al Ittihad.

On the other hand, Zamalek Portuguese manager, decided to start with Mahmoud El Wensh, who returned to the team after recovering from COVID-19.

Zamalek’s starting line-up for the match consists of: Mohamed Abo Gabal, El Wensh, Mahmoud Alaa, Hazem Imam, Ahmed Dattouh, Tarek Hamed, Ferjani Sassi, Ahmed Sayed Zizou, Achraf Bencherki, Hamid Ahddad and Mostafa Mohamed.

The game starts on 7:30 pm.
