CAIRO-17 December 2020: The CAF Super Cup match will be played on 17 February, according to reports from Morocco.

2020 CAF Champions League winners, Al Ahly, will face 2020 CAF Confederation Cup winners, RS Berkane, in the match.

The game was initially scheduled this December in Egypt but the Moroccan team rejected CAF’s suggestion, which forced the governing body of African football to move the game to February 2021.

Al Ahly secured their place in the match after clinching the 2020 CAF Champions League title, having defeated arch-rivals, Zamalek, 2-1 in the final.

Al Ahly will participate in the CAF Super Cup for the 9th time in the history, having secured the title on six occasions.

Zamalek are the last team to win CAF Super Cup title after defeating Tunisian giants, Esperence, 3-1 in February 2020.

Al Ahly have had a fantastic season in 2020 as they secured the treble for the third time in the club’s history and they are seeking to add another trophy to their cabinet.
