CAIRO-19 November 2020: Spanish manager Pep Guardiola signed a two-year deal with Manchester City that will see him remain as Manchester City manager until the summer of 2023.

“I have the desire to help with all the fantastic players we have for the next years, especially for the fans - and we will feel proud of the way we play and the way we win.” The Spanish manager said after signing his extension contract.

Guardiola is managing the English giants since 2016 and he led them to win two back to back Premier League titles in 2018 and 2019.

"I would say that at this time, the reason I signed the contract is for our chairman. He convinced me that still we have to move forward, to try to do it, to continue what we have done in these incredible last four years together," added Guardiola.

The Spanish manager will be looking forward to win Manchester City’s first ever Champions League trophy during his remaining time with the Citizens.

Guardiola previously managed Barcelona and Bayern Munich where he managed to win the domestic league title at both clubs as well as winning the Champions League two times with Barcelona.
