Gharib announces squad for Brazil and South Korea matches

CAIRO-8 November 2020: Egypt U-23 manager Shawki Ghareeb announced the team’s squad for November camp as the team will face Brazil and South Korea, as part of the preparations for Tokyo Olympic Games.

The team will miss five of the team’s key players, Ramadan Sobhi, Mostafa Mohamed, Taher Mohamed Taher, Akram Tawfik and Ahmed Abouelfotouh, who were called by the first team manager Hossam El Badry.

The players, who will not be included in the first team’s final squad for the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers, will join the Olympic team preparations.

The U-23 team squad consists of:

Goalkeepers: Mahmoud Gad - Mohamed Sobhi - Omar Salah - Mustafa Schobeir

Defenders: Ahmed Ramadan (Beckham) - Muhammad Abd El Salam - Mahmoud Al Jazzar - Mahmoud Marei - Ahmed Yassin - Hassan Ali - Mahmoud Al Badri - Karim El Iraqi - Karim Fouad

Midfielders: Sherif Reda - Ghannam Mohammed - Ahmed Saeed - Ammar Hamdi - Ahmed Hamdi - Nasser Maher - Youssef El Gohary - Abdel Rahman Majdi - Imam Ashour

Strikers: Karim Al Tayyib - Abdelrahman Shika - Ahmed Yasser Rayan - Salah Mohsen - Nasser Mansi - Fadi Farid

Egypt will face South Korea on 12 November in Cairo and five days later, they will face Brazil.
