Our target is the title, El Shenawy

CAIRO-16 October 2020: Al Ahly captain Mohamed El Shenawy sent a strong message to Wydad Casablanca ahead of Saturday’s clash in the CAF Champions League semi-finals first leg. El Shenawy said that the Red Eagles will fight to win the CAF Champions League title.

“Wydad is a good team and we respect them much. But in Al Ahly we play each game to win, whatever the competition is.” El Shenawy said.

Al Ahly's Head of Medical Staff, Dr Khalid Mahmoud, announced on Thursday that El Shenawy is fit for the game.

El Shenawy was substituted in the game against Arab Contractors in the league as he injured his adductor muscle and he missed the last two games in the league against Enppi and Pyramids.

Al Ahly captain added “Our target is the title. We want to make our supporters happy.”

Al Ahly has won a record 8 CAF Champions League titles but they failed to win the title since 2013.
