CAIRO – 29 June 2017: Spain meets Germany at the UEFA European Under-21 (U-21) Championship final on June 30, both teams’ players have shown their qualities during the tournament and will do their best to win the title.

Many great players have won the UEFA European U-21 Championships, they were young and this competition was a great achievement for them at that age.

In this article we will talk about the best five contributions from great players at previous finals.

5 – Andrea Pirlo, 2000

Andera Pirlo, Italian midfielder, had an amazing performance with Italy in 2000 at the UEFA European U-21 Championship.
Pirlo led his team to the title scoring 3 goals including twice at the final against Czech Republic, he was the top goal-scorer and the best player in the tournament.

Thiago Alcantara, Spanish midfielder, won the competition twice in 2011 and 2013 and he played a major role in both titles. Alcantara scored the second goal on a 2-0 winning against Switzerland at the 2011 final; he also scored three goals on a 4-0 winning against Italy at the 2013 final.

He was named the best player at 2013 competition.
