CAIRO-15 October 2020: Al Ahly former manager Mohamed Youssef stated on Thursday that he he wants Al Ahly and Zamalek to reach CAF Champions League final.

The manager, who led the Red Devils to their last Champions League title in 2013, believes that the Egyptian giants have a tough mission to knock Moroccans out of the competition.

"Wydad and Raja are very strong teams. They are not in the same technical and fitness levels of Al Ahly and Zamalek but they are strong collectively and they commit to the coaches’ tactics.” Youssef said.

Al Ahly face Wydad at Mohamed V stadium on 17 October and Zamalek will face Raja in the next day on the same pitch while the second legs will be played a week later at Cairo stadium.

Youssef added “It is a tough mission for the four teams but I wish that Al Ahly and Zamalek can advance to the final.”

Al Ahly has won a record 8 CAF Champions League titles but they failed to win the title since 2013.

Zamalek fans aim to win the CAF Champions League title for the sixth time in the club's history and the first time since 2002.
