CAIRO-18 September 2020: Tottenham Hotspur are close to sign their former Welsh winger Gareth Bale on a loan from Real Madrid, according to sources in England.

The Welsh winger is set to re-join his old team after spending the most of the last season on bench in Madrid.

The relationship between Bale and Real Madrid’s manager Zinedine Zidane is beyond a repair and his spell in Madrid turned into an endless nightmare for both the player and the club.

Real Madrid board tried many times to sell the Welsh winger, hoping to get rid of his extortionate wages, but Bale resisted until his childhood club knocked the door to re-sign him.

According to Skysports, the player has completed a medical in Madrid on Thursday and he is expected to be in London on Friday to complete the deal with Spurs.

Bale will be a great addition to Jose Mourinho’s squad, who suffered a 1-0 loss against Everton on Sunday at home in the opening game of the season.

Bale will not be the only player to arrive from Madrid as he will accompanied by his teammate in Real Madrid, Sergio Reguilon, who is set to join Spurs on a permanent deal.
