CAIRO – 28 June 2017: Sandro Ramirez is closer than ever to joining Real Madrid after his great performance with Malaga last season. Sandro is a Barcelona Academy product and played two years with Barcelona’s first team.

Rumors linked Real Madrid’s current forward, Alvaro Morata, as leaving the club, which made Real Madrid move to sign the ex-Barcelona striker.

Sandro, born in Las Palmas, joined Barcelona academy in 2009, when he was 14 and played on Barcelona’s youth teams before joining the first team when he turned 19 under ex-manager Luis Enrique.

Sandro won the Spanish League, Spanish Cup, Champions League, European Super Cup and FIFA Clubs World Cup in his debut year.

Sandro, 21, joined Malaga in summer 2016 and played a great role with his club last season, scoring 14 goals, according to whoscored.com.

Sandro plays for the U21 Spanish national team and led them to the tournament final against Germany last Friday.
