CAIRO-15 August 2020: Al Ahly manager Rene Weiler revealed that the team did not play their best game against Al Inttag El Harby.

"It was not our best game. We missed a penalty and then conceded a goal but we managed to return in the game and equalised the score." Weiler said.

Al Ahly had a chance to open the score after 14 minutes as they were granted a penalty kick but the team left back Ali Maaloul failed to convert the penalty.

Al Inttag opened the score 14 minutes later by Ahmed Afify who broke Al Ahly's offside trap and went one-against-one with Al Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy and put the goal in the back of the net.

The goal was ruled out for being offside but it was awarded when the goal was reviewed by VAR.

Al Ahly equalised the score 12 minutes before the final whistle as El Solia's strike found the back of the net.

Weiler added "We did not have a great game. There are many reasons for the bad performance and I will discuss it with my players."

El Solia's goal meant that Al Ahly reached the 19th game in the domestic league without a loss.

Al Ahly lead the Egyptian league table with 53 points after 19 games and they are 18 points ahead of the second-placed Pyramids.
