CAIRO, 06 July 2020: The Egyptian international Mohamed Salah became the second fastest player in the history of the English Premier League to participate in 100 goals.

Salah, by making an assist in Liverpool's second goal against Aston Villa and scored by Curtis Jones, made goal number 27 in his Premier League career with Chelsea or where he starred with the Reds.

In addition to the 73 goals scored by the Egyptian king, Salah became the second fastest player to reach 100 goals, as he did in 116 games.

The fastest was Alan Shearer, who contributed 100 goals in 100 games.

Throughout the Premier League history, 63 players have contributed to more than 100 goals, led by Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney, who has contributed 319 goals in the jerseys of the Red Devils and Everton.

Liverpool, the English Premier League champion for the 2019/2020 season, regained their Premier League victories and beat Aston Villa 2-0.

The Egyptian winger and his teammates secured the long-awaited Premier League title thanks to City's 2_1 loss to Chelsea last week.

Salah became the first Egyptian player to win the Premier League title which is another achievement added to the Egyptian king's amazing record.

Salah is chasing his third straight Golden Boot Award as he scored 17 goals this season in the league and he is only two goals behind the race leaders Jamie Vardy and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The win raised Liverpool's score to point 89 in the top of the Premier League standings, and Aston Villa's balance at point 27 was frozen in 18th place.
