CAIRO_2 July 2020: Zamalek announced on Wednesday night that the first team players will return to training sessions on Thursday to prepare for football's return.

The club board stated on Wednesday that the first team players will undergo coronavirus tests ahead of their first training session after more than three months of suspension.

The club board statement added that the first team will hold a training camp in Borg Al Arab for 15 days as well as another 10-day training camp in Europe ahead of CAF Champions League resumption.

Zamalek will face Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca while Al Ahly will face 2017 CAF Champions League winners Wydad Casablanca.

The CAF Executive Committee announced on Tuesday that CAF Champions League semi-finals will resume in September with a Final Four (4) format, adding that the semi-Final matches will be played in a single match.

Al Ahly has won a record 8 CAF Champions League titles but they failed to win the title since 2013.

On the other hand, Zamalek players aim to continue their continental success in recent years as the club won CAF Confederation Cup title last season, which is their first continental title since 2003.
