CAIRO_ 25 June 2020: Liverpool are closer than ever to clinch the Premier League title for the first time since 1990 as they are only two points away from lifting the long-awaited trophy.

On Wednesday night at Anfield in front of empty stands, the Reds produced a great performance to demolish Crystal palace 4_0 and move closer to the title.

Liverpool defender, Trent Alexander-Arnold, opened the score from a free kick after 22 minutes while Salah doubled the score minutes before the break with a cool finish.

At the second half, Fabinho's strike from 30 yards added the third goal for the Premier League leaders while Senegalese winger, Sadio Mane, scored the fourth goal after receiving a superb pass from Salah to secure the victory.

"The atmosphere on the pitch was incredible. That was the best counter-pressing game I have ever seen." Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp said after the game.

Liverpool fans' eyes will turn to Stamford Bridge in London, where Chelsea host the second-placed Manchester City at the biggest game of the fixture.

Klopp added "The boys are in good shape and in a good mood and it was important we showed our supporters we are still here and we do not want to wait."

Liverpool will be crowned champions if Manchester City failed to get the three points against Chelsea.
