CAIRO_19 June 2020: Al Ahly chairman, Mahmoud Elkhatib, wants to keep the team winger, Ramadan Sobhy, according to the player's agent, Nader Shawky.

Egypt U-23 national team captain, Ramadan, joined Al Ahly in the beginning of 2019 on a loan from the English championship side, Huddersfield Town.

The player's agent, Nader Shawky, commented on the player's future, saying "We do not know the player's future as everything is interrupted amid coronavirus pandemic. However, Al Ahly want to keep the player."

Al Ahly started negotiations with Arab Contractors to sign Sobhy's teammate at the Olympic team, Taher Mohamed Taher.

Shawky added "Al Ahly want to secure their attacking line in case of Sobhy's departure but I think that the two players can fit in the same squad as they share the Olympic national team's attacking line."

The two players are set to lead the Olympic national team during Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021 summer.
