Manchester United’s winger Marcus Rashford addressed how Jose Mourinho’s managerial spell United helped him develop as a football player.

Speaking to UTD Podcast, England’s international player spoke about Mourinho’s impact on him as a player while the latter managed Manchester United.

"It was tough but I think when you look back on it in five or six years, they're the moments that give you that mental toughness," Rashford said, according to Sky Sports.

Additionally, Rashford gave credit of his development to Mourinho as he believes that the Porteguese manager played an important role during his time at the club.

“We had ups and downs. When I look back at it, it was a tough period but definitely a period that made me a better player," Rashford concluded, as reported from Sky Sports.

Ever since his debut with Manchester United, the 22-year-old scored 64 goals and made 31 assists in a total of 201 games, according to transfermarkt.

Lastly, Rashford is considered to be one of Manchester United’s crucial players alongside the French forward Anthony Martial and the Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea.
