Sobhi: My loan could be extended

Ramadan Sobhi, Al Ahly’s winger, confirmed that his current loan with Al Ahly club from Huddersfield Town A.F.C. could be extended if needed.

In his interview with Egyptian channel ON Time Sports, the 23-year-old winger confirmed that his loan with the Red Devils [Al Ahly] could be extended in order to complete the current season.

“There isn’t any updates with my contract at Al Ahly. My loan with the team will end on 31 June. However, it could be extended in order to finish the Egyptian League and the CAF Champions League with the team,” Sobhi said in his interview.

Sobhi who experienced his breakthrough with Al Ahly as a youngster before joining Stoke City F.C. added that he wishes to continue with his boyhood club [Al Ahly] yet doesn’t dismiss the chance of playing abroad once again.

“I am not the type of person who likes to play on the emotions of the fans, I really want to continue with Al Ahly. However, playing abroad is my number one priority. My dream is to play in Europe and become successful,” Sobhi added in his interview.

Throughout the 162 games that he played during his club career, the Egyptian winger [Sobhi] scored 28 goals and made 24 assists.
