EFA suspends football-related activities for two weeks

CAIRO-14 March 2020: Egyptian Football Association, EFA, announced on Saturday that all football-related activities are suspended for two weeks as a result of the spread of coronavirus.

The suspension includes fixtures of all Egyptian league divisions and age groups.

This decision comes after President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi directed to suspend study at schools and universities across the country for two weeks as of Sunday, March 15, as part of the country's comprehensive strategy to combat Coronavirus.

President Sisi further allocated L.E. 100 billion to fund the anti-Coronavirus strategy and its related precautionary measures.

Coronavirus outbreak has had a huge effect on football as many football competitions worldwide has been halted completely due to the coronavirus.
