Patrice Carteron, Zamalek’s manager, announced Zamalek’s 23 player squad ahead of the team’s match against Esperance Sportive.

The Frenchman’s 23 player selection witnessed the return of Youssef Obama, attacking midfielder, and Mohamed Awad, goalkeeper, after being dropped last match.

While, two of Zamalek’s important players Abdullah Gomaa, left back, and Omar El Said, striker, were excluded from the squad.

Zamalek will visit Tunisia's Esperance next Friday at the Stade de Rades in the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-final,with the first leg ending with a 3-1 victory to the White Knights.

Zamalek’s 23 Players Selection:

Goalkeepers: Mohamed Abou-Gabal, Mahmoud Gennesh, Mohamed Awad, and Mohamed Sobhi.

Defenders: Hazem Emam,Mahmoud Alaa, Mahmoud Hamdy El-Wensh, Mohamed Abel-Shafy, Mohamed Abdel-Salam, and Ahmed Eid.

Midfielders: Mahmoud Abdel-Razek Shikabala, Ferjani Sassi, Tarek Hamed, Achraf Bencharki, Ahmed Sayed Zizo, Youssef Obama,Mohamed Ounajem, Mohamed Hassan, Mohamed Antar, Mostafa Fathi, and Islam Gaber.

Forwards: Mostafa Mohamed, and Kabongo Kasongo.
