CAIRO – 20 February 2020: Liverpool Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, sent a warning message to Atletico Madrid players ahead of the second leg of UEFA Champions League round of 16.

“Anfield awaits,” Liverpool winger tweeted and shared two photos of him during the first leg in Madrid which ended with a 1-0 win for the hosts thanks to an early goal from Saul Naiguez.

Reigning champions, Liverpool, aim to capture the rhythm of the energetic atmosphere at Anfield to bounce back and get a positive result to advance to the quarter-finals.

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, shared the same message after the first leg, saying “Welcome to Anfield. It is not over yet."

Liverpool stadium, Anfield, is known for its importance to the Reds as the team fans create one of the most energetic atmospheres in European football which helped Liverpool on many occasions to get the result they needed.

Last season, Anfield witnessed one of the most amazing comebacks in the history when Liverpool defeated Barcelona 4-0 at the second leg of UEFA Champions League semi-final to overcome their 3-0 loss at the first leg in Barcelona and progress to the final.
