The Egyptian handball team tops their group in the African Nations Cup currently held in Tunisia, after beating Angola 33-26.

The Egyptian national team won the first half in their favor 15-15, before finishing the match in by a difference of 7 goals, to announce that they led to the first group with 3 victories against Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Gabon.

Egypt team is waiting to face Tunisia and Algeria in the semi-finals next Friday.

The teams of Angola, Tunisia and Algeria guaranteed the qualification for the World Cup which will be held next year in Egypt.

Egypt seeks to win the championship to qualify directly to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, without the need to contest the qualifying supplement in the event of reaching the final and losing it.

Egypt and Tunisia met in the final of the last two copies of the tournament, where Egypt won in Cairo in 2016 and the Pharaohs lost the last final in Gabon two years ago.

Egypt seeks to win its seventh championship to equal the Algerian national team, while Tunisia won the title 10 times.
