Egypt's handball team prepares for African Cup of Nations

The Egyptian handball team delegation leaves at 08:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning to Tunisia to participate in the African Cup of Nations and compete to qualify for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.

The African Cup holders qualify directly to the Tokyo Olympics, while runner-up plays another qualifying match.

Egypt is in the first group, next to Guinea, Kenya and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The first and second of the four groups qualify for the quarter-finals, who will play in the two groups system, as the first includes the finalists from the first and second groups, while the other includes the qualifiers from the third and fourth groups.

After that, the first and second place winners qualify for the semi-finals, and the competitions will be held from January 16 to 26.

The team's list includes: Karim Hindawi, Muhammad Essam Al-Tayyar, Muhammad Ali, Ibrahim Al-Masry, Khaled Walid, Ahmed Adel, Wissam Sami, Muhammad Mamdouh Hashem, Ahmed Hisham "Dudu", Saif Al-Daraa, Ahmed Khairy, Yahya Khaled, Mohsen Ramadan, Ahmed Al-Ahmar, Akram Yousry, Muhammad Sanad, Yahya Al-Daraa, Ali Zain, Khaled Walid, Omar Bakkar, Ahmed Moamen.
