Officially: Salah will not attend 2019 CAF Best Player ceremony in Hurghada

Things are getting clearer now; the Egyptian professional Mohamed Salah will not be attending the 2019 Best Player in Africa Gala, according to an official source from CAF.

An official source from CAF, who preferred not to be named, spoke, saying: "Mohamed Salah will not be present at the 2019 Best Player in Africa Gala,".

He continued, "The second plane was supposed to take off from London Heathrow airport with the presence of Salah and Mahrez, especially with Salah not arriving on the same plane with Sadio Mane, but now the flight has been canceled and the plane will not depart for Hurghada."

Liverpool star Sadio Mane arrived in Hurghada on Monday evening in preparation for the 2019 Best Player in Africa Gala.

The 2019 Best Player in Africa Gala event takes place in Sahl Hasheesh, Hurghada.

Manchester City star Riad Mahrez, eariler, has officially apologized for not attending the event.

Mane competes with our Egyptian professional Mohamed Salah, his colleague in Liverpool, alongside the Algerian Riyad Mahrez, Manchester City star.
