CAIRO – 28 December 2019: Premier League defending champions, Manchester City, suffered another poor result as they lost 3-2 to Wolverhampton Wanderers after they were leading 2-0.

Manchester City are third at the league with 14 points behind the leaders, Liverpool, who are not the only happy team with Man City’s loss, as City are more close now to other teams who are seeking a spot at the Champions League next season.

"We cannot prioritise or next season we'll not be in Europe. It is a really bad situation for us. A frustrating first half of the season. Nobody expected us to be this far away from Liverpool at this halfway point.” Guardiola said after the game.

Manchester City lost their goalkeeper, Ederson Morales, at the first half of the game as he was sent off after tackling one of the home team players but they were focused and led the game with two goals through Raheem Sterling.

The Wolves returned in the game after a magic performance from Adama Traore who scored the opening goal and provided an assist for the equalizer then Matt Doherty secured the victory for his team.

The Wolves are facing a tough test on Sunday when they face the unstoppable Liverpool Anfield.
