Why does the World Cup-winning club did not include a player from the World Cup-winning team, a question was asked of Liverpool coach Jurgen Club, the UEFA Champions League holder.

"There is no specific reason for this," Klopp told French channel Canal +.

"Killian Mbappe plays in Paris Saint-Germain. (Antoine) Griezmann wanted Barcelona in a regulated manner, we know how strong this team is." Klopp said.

"We wish for a French player, but we are not able to afford the price of many of them," said the former Borussia Dortmund coach.

Liverpool are preparing for a strong showdown on Thursday when they visit Leicester City in Round 19 of the Premier League.

Liverpool leads the championship, 10 points behind runner-up Leicester city.

The Reds crowned the Club World Cup in Qatar on Friday, dropping the Brazilian Flamingo with a goal by Roberto Firmino.
