CAIRO – 13 December 2019: Zamalek French manager, Patrice Carteron, leads Zamalek to defeat Pyramids 2-0 on Thursday night at the biggest game of the seventh round of the Egyptian league.

Zamalek scored the two goals at the second half through Mostafa Mohamed’s wonderful header and Mahmoud Alaa’s goal from the penalty spot.

The Whites achieved their third straight victory in all competitions since the board sacked former Serbian manager, Milutin Sredovic (Micho) and appointed Carteron as the club new manager with the aim of getting the team back to the right track.

“I am so happy with the team performance and the important victory which will be a massive motive for us.” Carteron told press after the game.

The French led Zamalek to defeat El Sahrqia at the fourth round of the Egyptian Cup before securing the team’s first three points at CAF Champions League group stage as they defeated Primeiro de Augusto last Saturday.

The team jumped to the fourth position at the league with 13 points , three points behind the leaders, Arab Contractors, who played one game more.
