Karim Benzema continued to achieve individual records with Real Madrid, by scoring two goals against Eibar.

Real Madrid ended the first half ahead of Eibar with three goals without reply, one of them by captain Sergio Ramos, while Benzema ensured the rest.

Benzema scored in the 17th and 29th minute, raising his total of goals in his La Liga career to 157.

Benzema surpassed Hungarian legend Ferenc Puskas, who has scored 156 goals in La Liga with Real Madrid.

Benzema is the sixth-highest scorer in Real Madrid's history in the league competition, behind Cristiano Ronaldo (311), Raul Gonzalez (228), Alfredo Di Stefano (186) and Ojo Sanchez (164).

Benzema has also become the 18th all-time leading scorer in La Liga.

Benzema's fifth goal in his career against Ibar, equaling the number of goals Cristiano Ronaldo against the Basque team.

By scoring the third penalty, Benzema was able to translate all eight of his penalties in his official career with Real Madrid.

Benzema lifted his tally to nine goals in the top scorer of La Liga, surpassing Villarreal's Gerard Moreno who scored eight goals.
