Barcelona thrashes Sevilla 4-0

CAIRO - 8 October 2019:Barcelona thrashed Sevilla 4-0 at Camp Nou in the eighth round of La Liga. Luis Suarez, Arturo Vidal, Osman Dembele and Lionel Messi scored the Barcelona quad. Barca raised their points to 16 points in second place behind Real Madrid with two points.

The game saw an unusual event in its final moments, when Barcelona finished the game with nine men as the duo Ronald Araujo and Osman Dembele were sent off in the same minute.

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde made some adjustments to his squad, keeping Antoine Griezmann, Sergio Busquets on the bench, pushing Ousmane Dembele and Arturo Vidal from the start.

Young Frenchman Jean-Claire Todibo also made his debut in the center of defense to make up for the absent players.

Sevilla coach Julien Lopetegui, who was sacked by Real Madrid last October after a 5-1 defeat at the same stadium, is a nightmare that will be repeated again and lose by four goals.

The former Spain coach continued relied on Dutchman Luke de Jong at the attack in replacement for the Mexican Javier Hernandez "Chicharito".
