CAIRO – 7 September 2019: Brazil International, Philippe Coutinho, was offered to Premier League champions, Manchester City, but the club manager Pep Guardiola refused to sign the midfielder.

Coutinho joined Barcelona in 2018 winter from Liverpool and he was expected to fill the shoes of Barcelona legend, Andres Iniesta. However, the player failed to adapt with Barcelona’s system during his time at the club.

During the summer, the Brazilian has been linked with a move to many European giants including Manchester City and Paris Saint Germain but at the end he was loaned to Bayern Munich.
Bayern paid 8.5 million euros to signCoutinho on loan for a year and they have the option to buy him for 120 million euros at the end of the season.

Since his arrival to Munich, Coutinho played two games with the club against Shalke and Mainz respectively and both games ended with a win for the Bavarians. However, the Brazilian failed to impress during both games.
