CAIRO – 20 July 2019: Egyptian ambassador in Algeria has spoken about the embassy staff working overtime in order to grant visas for Algerian fans travelling to Egypt for the final of AFCON 2019.

On Friday, Algerian won the African Cup of Nations against Senegal in Cairo Stadium for the first time since 1990. They had beaten Senegal already in group stages, and did not lose a single match in the competition. Their opponent of Senegal were dealt a huge blow after their star center back Kalidou Koulibaly was suspended for the final.

The Algerian government has given the green light to allow two extra military planes to fly fans to Egypt in order to support the Algerian national team in their quest for the title. That brings the overall total of planes to 30 all of which will be transporting Algerian supporters to Cairo.
