We will do our best to make our fans happy: Ebeid

CAIRO-13 July 2019: Algeria national team midfielder, Mehdi Abeid, promised Algerian fans tey will do everything they can to win the title.

Algeria reached the semi-finals for the first time since 2010 after they knocked out Ivory Coasy by penalty shoot-outs.

“We will do our best to make our people happy. I was born in France but I am 100% Algerian.” Abeid told press on Saturday.

Algeria will face Nigeria on Sunday night at the competition’s semi-finals and they will play at Cairo Stadium for the first time in this tournament as they played their group stage games at 30 June and Al Salam stadiums.
They faced Guinea at the round of 16 at 30 June Stadium before heading to Suez to face Ivory Coast.
Algerian fans are expected to pack the stadium to support their team.

Abeid added “Nigeria are a great team with many talented players but we are ready to challenge them.”

The game starts on Sunday at 9:00 PM.
