CAIRO – 20 March 2019: CAF Confederation Cup quarter finals draw was held on Wednesday night at the Marriot Hotel in Cairo and put Zamalek against Moroccan club, Hassania Agadir.

Zamalek reached the quarter finals after the team topped group D with 9 points despite the poor start at the group stage with a loss to Gor Mahia in Kenya and two draws at home against NA Hussein Dey and Petro Atletico of Angola.

Zamalek bounced back at the remaining games and defeated Petro Atletico 1-0 in Angola before achieving a 4-0 victiory over Gor Mahia in Egypt while their last game in Algeria ended with a draw.

On the other hand, Hassania Agadir reached the quarter finals as the runners-up of their group after gaining 8 points with three points behind the group leaders, RS Berkane.

Agadir is a tough team when they play at home as they achieved two victories at the group stage at home and their third game ended with a draw.

The winner will face the winner between Sudan’s Al Hilal and Tunisian club, Etoile Du Sahel.

The draw also resulted in two tough clashes as Gor Mahia will face RS Berkane of Morocco while CS Sfaxien face Zambia’s Nkana.
