CAIRO – 16 January 2019: Liverpool captain, Jordan Henderson, believes that the English fans should appreciate the performance of his Egyptian teammate, Mohamed Salah.

“He will do things that some fans might not see that often but they should enjoy him because he is world class," Henderson told press on Wednesday.

Henderson’s comments came after the Egyptian winger was booed from Brighton fans who accused Salah of diving to win penalties during their game at the Premier League on Saturday.

Henderson added, “It was a penalty, a clear penalty. There's nothing to talk about that.”

Salah won three of Liverpool’s last four penalties and converted all of them to goals after he became Liverpool’s first choice penalty taker.

Liverpool captain continued, “In terms of Mo, I would think away grounds would be appreciative of what they see. The things he does; I'm sure he is a joy to watch.”

Salah has been a key player in Liverpool since the start of the season having scored 14 goals and provided seven assists.

Liverpool is leading the Premier League table with 57 points, four points ahead of the second placed and the defending champions, Manchester City.
